Rich and full-bodied, this is a complex organic tea with a bright, savoury flavour. The Gyokuro bushes are shaded for 21 days before harvesting. This slows the growth of the tea leaves and creates the luscious deep green colour by increasing the level of chlorophyl and amino acids. The increased level of amino acids generates the soft and sweet character of this superb tea. To achieve the best tea quality, Gyokuro is brewed with only 60°C water temperature.
